Visit to the Barcelona fish auction and fideuá!

Slow Food Barcelona takes you to the fish auction: a unique experience!

Anna Bozzano, marine biologist and founder of the Peix al Plat, a project about sustainability in sea fishing, will take you to the Barcelona fish auction.

 You’ll watch fishermen boats coming back to the port after a hard day in the sea and you’ll see with your very eyes how fresh fish is sold followiing the auction system.

After the auction we’ll take you to our Kitchen located just beside the Santa Caterina Market, where you’ll learn how to prepare a classic spanish fish dish: the fideuá.

We’ll cook using only fresh, local and seasonal ingredients (including the “canana” - a kind of local aquid) and we match the dishes with a glass of good, natural catalan wine.

 The activity includes:           

·       Tomato bread and olives

·       Seasonal salad

·       Fideuà with “canana”

·       Dessert

·       Water and bread

·       The opportunity to buy wines and local products after the meal
